Riyadh [Saudi Arabia], May 23: Saudi Arabia remained tight-lipped while the US publicly expressed optimism that the two sides were about to reach a new agreement on security, military and defense.
This agreement helps Saudi Arabia obtain Washington's commitment to ensuring security as a NATO member to the United States. Saudi Arabia will be sold advanced weapons and military equipment by the US, and will have access to and transfer of modern military and defense techniques and technology. The immediate and long-term strategic benefit of this Gulf dynasty is to bind the United States to Saudi Arabia politically and security to both significantly enhance military power and defense, and to take advantage of Saudi Arabia. Benefits greatly from America's power, role and influence in world politics, military and security.
In the above agreement, the US also has immediate and long-term strategic benefits. Washington needs Saudi Arabia and ties this dynasty into relations with the US to restore and increase influence in the region, as well as separate the roles of China and Russia here.
The US also needs to build this special relationship so that Saudi Arabia will normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. Once it has normalized diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, Israel will be open to diplomatic recognition from many other Arab countries even if the Hamas - Israel conflict has not been resolved.
