Bishkek [Kyrgyztan], February 18: Kyrgyzstan has declared a state of emergency in its Naryn Oblast due to avalanches, the press service of the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Friday.
In connection with the avalanches on the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway and due to the continuing danger of avalanches, the governor of Naryn Oblast has declared a state of emergency, it said.
At present, rescuers and special equipment are involved in carrying out cleaning work, and according to preliminary information, there were no victims due to the avalanches.
