Abu Dhabi [UAE], October 11: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abu Dhabi University, commended the university's remarkable academic milestone, having been ranked among the top 200 universities Globally in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan underscored that education remains a foremost priority for President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who, he said, is dedicated to nurturing this vital sector by ensuring the provision of resources and capabilities that strengthen investment in education.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the critical role of human development as a key investment in shaping the nation's future leadership and enhancing its global standing. The significance of this international recognition for such a prominent national institution in higher education, he added, underscores the visionary leadership's commitment to advancing global competitiveness in this crucial sector at local, regional, and international levels.
Sheikh Hamdan further emphasised that Abu Dhabi University's achievement, coinciding with the celebration of its 20th anniversary, reflects the esteemed global reputation of this national institution, which, he said, has consistently embraced excellence as its strategic foundation since its inception in 2003.
Abu Dhabi University has advanced 60 places in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, securing the 191st position globally, placing it among the top 200 universities on the global stage. ADU has marked its position as a leading university out of 2,092 higher education institutions, in recognition of its academic excellence and commitment to research and development.
